Frustration, desperation and a sense of failure are some of the all too common emotions felt by couples having difficulty conceiving.
And they are emotions Felicity and Robert Nalder know well.
"I was at the point where, if someone had said, here, cut your right arm off with this butter knife and I'll give you a baby, I probably would've done it," Felicity says.
Felicity and Robert suffered three miscarriages which left them at their wits' end, feeling helpless.
So they turned to Stacey Roberts, also known as "the Baby Maker".
A Current Affair first met Stacey Roberts last year when Australia's original Baby Maker, Ruth Sharkey, was retiring. Stacey was her apprentice.
She says she has "definitely graduated" as she lays claim to around 400 pregnancies each year.
Felicity and Robert are one of her success stories. Their son Joshua was conceived just two months after Felicity started taking the herbal tonic Stacey mixed up.
Stacey has hundreds of herbs that she mixes up to help people fall pregnant.
Kenton and Emma Cox also turned to Stacey when doctors declared them fertility-incompatible. Nine months later, little Jordan was born.
"I was just so amazed. I did a home pregnancy test and saw the faint line, couldn't believe it, did another test, and I was just gobsmacked," Emma says.
The Sharkey Healing Centre, where Stacey is based, is on the Gold Coast but can provide help to couples all over the world. SHC has helped couples in over 25 different countries.
Initial consultations vary depending on the program you begin and a herbal formula typically will cost $55. Stacey says, on average, about $700-800 worth of formula is what it takes to balance the body and this is when most often a viable pregnancy is created.
