The DNA Difference

Over the past decade within the western world there has been a concerted effort towards proving that men and women are the same. Women have been shown they can do anything that a man can do and in many cases can do it better. Gone are the days (we hope) where women will be discriminated against because of their gender.

All girls are being taught from puberty that they can do anything with their bodies at any stage of the month, and can, if they want to, even have no periods at all. They only need to go to a doctor to get a pill and the period flow can be controlled or even stopped. They are also told tampons and other internal sanitary products can be inserted to allow them to go swimming while they have their period, so they don't have to take any responsibility for caring for themselves or their bodies. In short, they are told they are exactly the same as boys, only with boobs.

But unless I have missed some divine intervention by God, or an invasion by aliens who have changed our DNA, I believe men and women have a different DNA coding, which makes them similar but very individual, albeit with compatible but opposite capabilities.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for the women's movement of equality in all aspects of human endeavour. But I also believe we need to draw the line somewhere and this to me should be in the teaching of our young girls that the female body can be treated the same as their male counterparts. Obviously the two are designed differently for different jobs - so why teach the children otherwise?

The DNA amongst which our inherent genes are scattered help the various organs in the body to develop and function. It stands to reason that the pattern for the formation of testes which are carried outside of the body would be different than the design of the ovaries, which are kept warm and at a constant temperature inside.

Herein lies the point of the discourse. Young women are not taught to properly care for and protect these wonderful glands. There is no education on how to combine being a woman with enjoying life to the full. Instead, there is much emphasis on carrying on as usual in spite of the period. The period is a normal healthy function in a woman's life, and it also is a time when her uterus is open to dispatch its lining, which makes it more susceptible to pelvic infections. At this time she is also at her lowest ebb physically, and sometimes emotionally too, especially if her progesterone level is lower than it should be. This is because progesterone takes care of the uterus lining (the period) as well as balancing the immune system. On average, each period causes a loss of approximately one cup of blood, which can cause a woman to feel tired and weak, so she should take life a little more slowly. At this time she is naturally more prone to chills as the immune system is weakened, so swimming in cold water is likely to cause congestion in the uterus.

If we look at Eastern philosophies regarding the male and female, we can see how they so clearly define the two as being Yin - female, and Yang - male. The two balance each other perfectly; no one is better than the other, they simply interact together to form one. Male energy comes from the brain; to a male the idea is visual, while female energy is from the intuition. Male energy is upward and expansive, female is downward and receptive. The male reproductive organ releases upward, the female organs downwards. During the sexual act the two swap tsing fluids.

All young couples know how to exchange their tsing, but they are not told how easily they can contract pelvic inflammatory diseases during the exercise. Girls especially are not told they are more prone to disease when they are having their period, yet undetected - therefore untreated - pelvic inflammatory diseases are the single most likely cause of the majority of female problems found in later life, including endometriosis, blocked or scarred tubes, and infertility, to name a few.

So we see the female is different from her partner. She is designed physiologically and fundamentally to ensure the survival of the race; as such she needs to be trained to cherish her body, to keep it warm, and to make sure that when she is ready to conceive that everything is in A1 working condition.

The male is the problem-solver, the protector; he can do many exciting things with his body, but he doesn't have within him the Infant Palace, so he doesn't have the same responsibility to make sure the cells are allowing the blood to flow freely. If there is cold inside the female there will be stagnation of the blood. Clots will form, no nutrients will get through, thus fibroids and varicosities will develop. Warmth is needed for good health of the cells and for energy, cold causes the veins to contract and blood to coagulate. The liver in both the male and the female is responsible for detoxification and the flow of blood to the organs, but when the female reaches puberty, or menarche, the liver has to work particularly hard to produce new hormones.

In today's society it would appear that these girls are being advised to disown their period - get rid of it and be one of the boys. It is time someone stood up and said they like being a girl and that they won't use the pill and tampons and other so-called aids to get rid of the monthly menstruation. All women should be told that these aids can cause problems later; they should at least be given the right to choose from different points of view and not just be shown commercials of how easy it is to pretend the period doesn't exist while they try to conform to what is shown as the norm.

More information on herbs to raise the internal warmth and help the male and female bodies develop can be found in Ruth's books Healing the Bodies and Natural Conception.
