Sharkey's Healing Centre has operated their successful practice from Queensland's Gold Coast since 1983.
Herbalist Stacey Roberts has been involved in health care since 1989 in both conventional and complementary medicine. Stacey is an international therapist who has assisted people in over 32 countries with improving their overall health and wellbeing by addressing their physical, physiological, and psychological health with complementary products and services.
Stacey is an international speaker, and best selling author. She has authored and or co authored over 7 books/ebooks and has been featured on World News Now in New York, A Current Affair, Oprah, filmed by the Discovery Channel , Sunrise in Sydney, and WIN TV among other radio and television shows in the US and Australia. Sharkeys Healing Centre under the direction of Stacey has received the 2007 Stevie Award for the Best OVerall Company in Asia (Subcontinent Australia and New Zealand).
Stacey has given lectures on fertility, hormone health, kinesiology, musculoskeletal assessment, parenting issues, and how to get rid of what is holding you back from creating optimal health now. She believes strongly in the mind-body relationship and that you cannot separate the two. Stacey balances the traditional approach with science by constantly searching and reviewing new studies and articles on various health topics. Treating the whole person is a priority for Stacey when helping her patients and clients to achieve long- term health and wellbeing.
Stacey is dedicating her time to assuring quality service and continued success at Sharkey's Healing Centre while earning her PhD. Due to intense work and family committments Stacey has decided to put her PhD on hold for now until she has more time to dedicate to the area of Health Psychology. She has lived in Sydney and the Gold Coast since 2000 with her husband and son.
Stacey is continuing to develop and enhance programs to optimise pre and postnatal care and to promote overall health by utilising herbs to address nutrient depletion and optimise hormone function. Stacey also uses other high quality nutritional products as well as traveling through Australia and the US holding workshops and giving talks to her patients all over these countries. Her commitment is to her patients and she will continue to be dedicated to providing solutions for couples with fertility issues and expanding Ruth Sharkey's previous work.
A herbalist, homeopath, hypnotherapist, and artist, Ruth is also the author of Guide to Natural Conception -and Healing the Bodies. Ruth was featured as one of Queensland's 'Most Intriguing Women' in 1997, and has written for several natural health magazines including Nature and Health, Conscious Living, Living Up, Zest, The Good Life and Healthy Living. She co-hosted a successful talkback radio programme for over thirteen years on Tweed/Gold Coast Radio 97, and also Logan 101. She has appeared on many television shows, including Today Tonight, A Current Affair, Brisbane Extra, The Today Show, Good Morning Australia, and on ABC radio around Australia, as well as many other national and international television shows and lifestyle magazines.
